After several years as a professor at California State University Long Beach, she returned to being a student at the University of Vermont College of Medicine where she received her medical training. Dr. Nguyen completed her internship and residency in Pediatrics at UCLA and Cedars-Sinai Medical Center; thereafter, she practiced primary care and hospital medicine for five years in Michigan. She has since returned to California and has served the children of Los Angeles as a diplomate of the American Board of Pediatrics and pediatrician for over a decade.
She currently resides in Santa Monica with her husband and two children. In her spare time, she enjoys playing the guitar, going to indie shows with her daughter, and watching her son play soccer.
