Vaccines prevent serious illness and save lives. They are the single most important public health intervention and are safe, based on decades of scientific research. That said, we firmly believe that children and young adults should receive all of the recommended vaccines according to the schedule published by the Center for Disease Control (CDC) and The American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP).

We recognize that the decision regarding how to vaccinate may be very difficult for some parents. We will do everything in our power to provide you with solid and reliable information to assist in your decision.

However, if you absolutely refuse to vaccinate your child despite all our efforts, we will ask you to find another practice that shares your philosophy. As medical professionals, we feel very strongly that vaccinating children is the appropriate decision. Please feel free to discuss any questions or concerns you may have about vaccines with any one of our physicians or nurses.

Vaccine Information Statements:

Parents may now download the CDC’s Vaccine Information Statements onto their mobile device. Law requires that patients be offered a copy of the appropriate VIS to take home with them after each vaccine.

Parents who want to save paper and who have a mobile device that can display a pdf file, may now download VISs onto their device to take home, rather than taking paper copies. Parents may go to: and click on the appropriate link to download that VIS.
