FOR LIFE-THREATENING EMERGENCIES CALL 911

We want your child to be their happiest healthiest self. The best way to accomplish this is through Well Child visits/Physicals. At each visit, we will follow your child’s growth and development, answer any questions or concerns you may have, and provide any needed vaccines/screenings. We adhere to the recommended schedule set forth by the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP).

    Understanding your bill:

Our goal is to deliver the very best care to your child and family. In general, preventative exams are a review of your child’s overall health, parent/patient teaching, review and administration of vaccines; it is not intended to diagnose or treat new (acute) issues. However, many times parents and their children have extra concerns about their health, behavior, or a new illness/symptom to address requires extra time and is not part of a routine preventative visit. For the convenience of children and families, and when schedules permit, we try to address these added problems as part of your child’s “check up” office visit.

As per guidelines developed by the American Medical Association and American Academy of Pediatrics, in this situation, we will bill for the added office visit time. A regular office visit may be charged in addition to the Preventative Exam. Most insurance companies are now asking that we collect the co-pay, if indicated, from families when we address these extra problems in addition to the check-up visit. The patient responsible amounts will be determined by your insurance company (Co-payment, co-insurance, deductible requirements, etc).

If more convenient, we can also schedule a separate appointment to address these additional health concerns. Please notify the nurse or physician.
